ROVA ("we," "our," or "us") operates the ROVA mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data and ride information.

Your ride history and location data are yours. We apply strict access controls and encryption to keep that information secure, and we do not sell it to third parties.

1. Data Protection & Security

• Your rides stay private by default: Route coordinates, ride logs, and personal statistics are confidential. No other user or third party can access them unless you explicitly choose to share.
• Encrypted infrastructure: We use industry-standard encryption, HTTPS/SSL in transit, and authenticated access controls to protect your account and ride history.
• No unauthorized sharing: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or location telemetry to advertisers or third parties.

2. Information We Collect

To provide ride tracking and telemetry, we collect:

• Account information: Username and basic profile data to identify and manage your account.
• Location & ride telemetry: GPS coordinates, speed, elevation, and distance captured during active rides, used to map routes and calculate XP and milestones.
• User content: Photos, notes, or media you choose to upload to your account.

3. Public vs. Private Control

You control what you share with the community:

• Default privacy: Rides and history are private to you unless you choose otherwise.
• Optional public sharing: If you share a ride publicly, only a high-level summary (total distance, duration, peak speed, username) is visible. Your detailed route trail and private notes remain hidden even when a ride is shared.
